Ruby-red. Sweet aromas of cassis, violet and currant leaf. Dense, fleshy and sweet but lively, with lovely energy in the mouth. This has excellent purity and delineation of fruit. Finishes very long and subtle, with very fine tannins and noteworthy vibrancy.
A wine of great texture and intensity, extremely fleshy and opulent, this is a real sexpot, and ideal for drinking early on, although it is certainly going to last for 15 or so years. Just a cut below its big brother, the 2003 Les Forts de Latour is wonderfully sweet, succulent, and fleshy with copious fruit, glycerin, and alcohol.
Lots of chocolate and bright berry character on the nose. Full bodied, with round and velvety tannins, and a juicy, fruity, and delicious finish. Yummy wine, so yummy. Why wait? Find the wine
Very minerally, with blackberry and currants on the nose. Full-bodied, with very soft tannins. Long finish. Lovely wine. This wine is always more open and delicious in a young top vintage than Latour. But there's good structure, too. Score range: 92-94
The stone tower aptly adorns the labels of Chateau Latour, standing proud and dependable for centuries. It ages exceptionally as it can be tasted back over a century. This Pauillic is consistent in style and quality, even across very difficult vintages as its location shields it from extreme weather conditions.
